Our community group is very diverse in age and season of life. We are working through life on this earth, growing together, towards the image of Christ. All are welcome to join and we meet on Wednesdays because child care is provided. We meet in the Den, which is the North West Corner Room in the Family Life Center or FLC. The FLC is the largest building of our campus.
6:30PM - 7:45PM
We currently are doing "Goliath Must Fall" from Louie Giglio.

The work is already done by Christ on the cross. Our responsibility is to have faith. That’s the antidote. God is able. Jesus is enough. When we set our eyes on Him, we will not be shaken, We will rest secure.

GOLIATH MUST FALL WEEKLY APPLICATION
List your Rejections. He lists several types of rejections we might have suffered through and asks us to write them down in detail including what happened and how we felt. Then it suggests to write down how we responded, how we reacted to being rejected.
The author here asks us to go into creation (specifically mentions a starry night) but any view of creation will point towards the Creator. Then he says to read Psalms 8 and I encourage that the is done aloud as we tell Him how wonderful His creation is and give him the glory in that.
O Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth,
Who have [a]displayed Your splendor above the heavens!
2 From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established[b]strength
Because of Your adversaries,
To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.
3 When I [c]consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have [d]ordained;
4 What is man that You [e]take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
5 Yet You have made him a little lower than [f]God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!
6 You make him to rule over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen,
And also the [g]beasts of the field,
8 The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,
Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9 O Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth!
Then he adds a verse to memorize (also asks to write down a few notes about your time of worship to share with the group next week):
Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
Tell a friend or coworker you trust about your journey through Psalms 8 and what it meant to you. Tell them something else you’ve learned about God’s acceptance.
